Question about social worker report

In our san bernardino county you get a letter that states what to do after you file the papers. We are to send $100 for the investigation and 2 months later we were contacted from the social worker to do an orientation. After she gets all the paperwork in from the backgrround check, etc. she contacted us for the home visit. Some counties may be differant but I am sure each county will tell you how to go about it when you file your paperwork. I hope this helps.
