We just got "the call" and we have been chosen by the birth parents to adopt their child - due in about 5 weeks. I breastfed my (biological) son for 19 months, and it was a great experience : lots of milk, and it was easy from the first try. He breastfed exclusively, with no solids, for more then 6 months. I hope that I am able to have the same great experience this time, but understand that I will need to start with a SNS until my milk supply builds :) Can anyone share their experiences with using a breastmilk donor in the beginning - I would like the baby to be used to the taste of breastmilk from birth, and plan to use breastmilk in the SNS as much as possible. I would appreciate any and all advice. I have been reading threads here, and it seems like I need to get started now to build my supply......

Congradulations!!!
That is wondefful news.
You can look up info from different sites. Asklenore.com is a good website. It has info on an accelerated protocal you can use to help increase your chances of having more milk. Since you've already had a successful breastfeeding relationship you may not need to use the protocal and starting Domperidone and starting pumping right NOW. May enable you to build up a good supply by the time you get your baby.
I would start pumping 12-16 times a day using a high grade double breast pump like the Medela Pump in style Advanced. You can also add Domperdione 2 tablets 4 times a day, Fenugreek 2 caps 3 times a day, and Blessed Thistle 2 caps 3 times a day. As well as drinking plenty of water and eating a serving of oatmeal (hot cereal, cookies, breakfast bars.. etc.) everyday.
Congradulations again....I'm so excited for you.
Ps. it will take time to get your first drops of milk...it could be days to a couple weeks. If you are pumping 12-12-16 times a day for about 15 minutes at a time then yous should start to get something after a few weeks. If you aren't you may need to start the accelerated protocal.
or you may choose to do the accelerated protocal...rigth away..it will be the easiest thing to do...while waiting to get your baby.
Basicly, You take Yasmin(a birth control pill that increases your milk making tissue) for at least 30 days(longer if you have more time). At the same time you also take the Domperidone. You don't pump or anything during that time. Then, when your baby come or after the 30 days. You stop the yasmin, continue with the domperidone, and start the herbs. You also either start breastfeeding your baby(using the lactiad or sns) or pumping 12-16 time a day.
I was on the protocal for 30 days and then started pumping/using the lact-aid. 10 days after I stoped the Yasmin i started to get small drops...that after a few weeks turned into sprays.
I had tried just using the domperidone and herbs....but it wasn't enough for me...I didn't have any succes until after I used the Yasmin(but i also have never been pregnant and never nursed a child). So you probably have an advantage.
Sorry to make this so long.
