We called this morning and they told us that the process takes between 8 to 12 weeks! How have been your experience with this? Please let us know - is so sad to have to wait for so long when the adoptive parents are making the rest of the stuff pretty fast????
many blessings,

Mildredjohn,
I received the fingerprint cards from my SW on Feb 18th and had the prints done that same day at CJS in Pikesville. They were digital.
In about 2 weeks, they sent me the MD clearance. I haven't received the FBI clearance yet, so maybe it will be 8 - 12 weeks total.
Hopefully not!

Its been awhile since we had ours done, but got them done at CJIS Pikesville April 23, 2004 and MD review came back in few weeks and FBI clearance mid-June 2004 -- so for us closer to the 8 week mark.
We had ours done at CJIS in October, didn't take too long to get MD back but took every day of the full 12 weeks to get the federal back. Very frustrating. I have been seeing on my China board that the people who got the quickest results mailed in the old-fashioned print card and very clearly (and largely) wrote FOR ADOPTION on the envelope. This is the opposite advice of what our SW told us to do- she was adament that digital was best, but people who did that had very quick turn-around times.
