Hello! Newbie here!

Hi everyone! My name is Alexis (24), DH is Clinton (27) and our son is Devon (2). DH is in the Navy and I am a SAHM.We are in the process of taking custody of our neice Sophia, who is 4mths old. She was taken from her parents (DH's brother & SIL) when they were arrested in January. BIL is in prison for 2 1/2 yrs and SIL was deemed an unfit mother. They asked for Sophia to come to us, so that she is with family and we graciously accepted!We had our in-home inspection done yesterday and passed!!! We were told that she could be with us as soon as next week! it all depends on how fast the county she is in works....I'm not holding my breakth though because they were supposed to have all this done 2mths ago and its just now getting to our county. But the new casework is awesome and is doing everything as fast as she can to get her to us quickly!As of November 4th, my BIL & SIL's parental rights will be terminated if Sophia is still with us, and we can try to adopt her. I would love to do this, but its something that DH needs to do some soul searching on first. Anywho....that is my intro...I cant wait to talk to you all and get to know you! I've been looking for a board like this!And if someone could tell me how to post my blinkies in my siggy that would be great!! Thanks so much!
