Are there any agencies (besides Bethany) in MD that allow you to be gender specific in your request for an infant? We are an AA family looking to adopt an AA infant (boy). We currently have two bio daughters.

I don't have any agency suggestions (we are going through Bethany) but as a side note.... I have read over and over again that more adoptive families want and request girsl- which I found very surprising. Infact in the international adoption community that is one of the reasons why China is popular. Guat. and other countries have a much longer wait time for girls than boys. If this same pattern holds true for domestic adoptions I would think that it wouldn't be a problem to request a boy.
