Hello all - it's me again.
Just got in from visit #2. It was a short visit, especially given the distance.
We arrived late Friday night (just before midnight because DH and I both worked 1/2 day in CA before flying to Ohio).
Saturday, we had another session with the therapist whare we were asked to bring the copy of our family rules that we did for our homestudy and the "Saturday Chore" charts that we updated to add the twins. Therapy was spent discussing the rules and playing a "get to know you" game lead by the therapist. Since the weather was uncooperative, we spent the afternoon at the local Children's and Scienct museum. Saturday evening we ate at Applebys and celebrated their birthday a couple of days late.
Sunday, we went to church, hung out and then went to dinner with the Foster Parents. We flew home today. The girls have now talked to all of our adult children (ages 19, 22, 25) on the phone once or twice. They are looking forward to their first visit here in May and a tentative move the first weekend in June (their last day of school is June 3).
Some testing has started, such as trying to sit on "Daddy's" lap and trying to wear a top t hat did not come down over the top of jeans for Church - but this is probably just a taste of what is to come. One twin is testing, the other is studying our reactions. Interesting.
That's the update.

Katey,
So glad things seem to be going well with you and your twins. The clothing issue can be a pain. My girls' taste in clothing is, well, depressing. They do like the new clothing I get them, but what they'd really like is a look that would not be out of place on the Jerry Springer show. My 6 year old says when she grows up, she is going to chew gum and wear short skirts and high heels. LOL! If they were rap stars, they'd have lots of "street cred." That's another complaint they have--too much classical music and jazz, NO rap or hip hop. It's a big culture clash in many ways. Fortunately, my 3 have really embraced religion, which is good, because we are a religious family and it's nice to have common ground. Keep us posted on how your twins are doing!
