This is the first year that my daughter has been in any formal school for Mother's Day and Father's Day. She very proudly brought home her Mother's Day Card from school on Friday. It is hung on the refrigerator etc.
For the first time, I will face Father's Day, where she will be congizent of the whole thing. Any advice on how to prepare her school and/or her to handle this the best way possible?
She is very aware that she doesn't have a daddy. The inquiring mind has calmed down and it isn't part of our every day conversations lately. I am sure that Father's Day will bring more of this up.
She can certainly make her gift for her Grandfather or Uncle. As far as I know, she is the only child in her pre-school class in a single parent household. She has a great teacher who will work with me in any way possible though.
I would love to have the help and insight of those who have made it through Mother's Day or Father's in the most postive way possible.
Thanks in advance.
