I wrote a lettter in 1987 that was to be put in his file letting him know I do want him to find me. The adoption took place in Oklahoma. I want to find him but not sure how or where to start. Should I let him make the first moveHow do I start to try and find him?The adoption took place in Oklahoma the state did the adoption so it was closed.can some one please help me?

have you gotten the non identifying information from social services. also write to the hospital and request your medical records for his birthdate. there are sometimes clues on the report. do you know anything about the adoptive family. i think you are intitled to know some things about them ,such as their education ,occupation age ,and etc. do contact social services as asoon as possible. are you living close to duncan,ok now check the local papers archives at the library for that date and see if it was either in the classifieds or birth announcements. i believe they have to run an ad in the classifieds for 6 weeks and sometimes the birth announcments will give a clue. i am not sure if it is a law that they have to publish each birth, but it use to be so check on his birthdate in the duncan paper and also thestephens county ,ok paper. when you recieve the non id infomation or any at all you can e-mail me linda_mc_us@yahoo.com and i will do all i can to assist you . no fee
