What is a "pagan" father? And this is not religious issue. I've not heard that term before and am unsure what it is.
actually, that would be a "Pagan-style" father. And, it comes from a court case "Pagan v SCF, Oregon", not from the "usual" meaning of the word "pagan". It simply means a father who has established no legal, custodial, personal or financial relationship with the child to be adopted.

Thanks! Wondered where they got the term...now I get to go find out about Pagan v SCF! (just because I have an inquiring mind...) :)
it was an oregon appeals court decision.
any (law) library(ian) should readily be able to look it up for you. (some public libraries have access to Lexus Nexus)
