Position Summary:
The Contractor Supervisor is a key member of the Welcome House Adoption Program of Pearl S. Buck International (PSBI) primarily responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising the delivery of off-site Contract Adoption Coordinator services and managing their contractual agreements. Additional responsibilities include recruitment and assessment of prospective adoptive parents, case management (pre and post placement), and support of post permanency services program activities, and backup assistance to other adoption program unit functions.
Position Requirements:
MasterՒs degree in Social Work, or equivalent, with 2 years employment experience in adoption (preferably international), including completion of home studies, or child and family services provision
Has proven experience in supervising 5-10 staff members at one time
Օ Must have valid drivers license & current automobile insurance coverage & the ability to travel within the community throughout the workday with full time access to an automobile
ҕ Ability to work 40 hours a week with flexible scheduling to include evening & occasional weekends when needed
Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on written communication skills, public speaking & facilitating group training sessions
Օ Understanding of community outreach, volunteer development, partnerships & coalition building, individual & group work skills
Detail oriented, highly organized, self-starting, innovative, articulate, high energy, reliable, team player, & resourceful are desirable attributes
