Hello everyone,
I haven't seen many posts here lately. Anything new with anyone?
Not much is happening with us. We had a few great contacts from potential birth moms about a month or so ago, but have had no leads whatsoever since then. The only e-mail I've gotten from our profile is from a guy in Moscow who claims he can clone us! LOL!
We went on a wonderful vacation last week to San Francisco. I had secretly hoped that when we returned there would be news of a baby for us. But no such luck! I sure hope something happens soon. It has been such a long wait.
I would love to hear how you guys are all doing when you have a chance. Kerri- how did things goes with that birth mom you were meeting with? Nikole- how are you enjoying motherhood?
Take care and have a great holiday weekend everyone!

I hope your vacation was fun and relaxing..
I've been really busy.. My hubby just changed jobs to a job in IN. So have the house up for sale and dealing with that. He starts on the 5th.. So we have been driving back and forth to get him an apartment to stay in, as far as the adoption with the pbmom well we were picked by her but not sure what is goin on at this moment.. She was suppose to go to a meeting with our agency last week and she lied to us saying that she had a headache, when really she was going to a hotel to go swimming. So needless to say we missed that meeting, and havent heard back from her since we caught her in the lie. Lets see anything else new.. I had surgery 10 days ago, but everything there is going great.. just need time to heal..
Well i'm gonna go lay down again rest rest rest..

Wow, Kerri! You have been busy! Glad to hear you are recovering well from surgery. Sorry to hear about what happened with the birthmom. Hopefully, she will call you soon. Maybe she is just feeling overwhelmed.
We're still not matched, but got some phone calls. After I mentioned that we hadn't heard from any potential birthmoms in quite a while, two called us! One actually called on the 4th, when we were least expecting it. Neither was the right situation for us, but we were sure glad to hear from them. So, we are still hoping and waiting that the right person will call and that we will become parents soon.
Good luck with the sale of your home, your move to Indiana and your adoption plans! :) Keep me posted on how everything goes.
Does anyone else in Michigan have any news?
Hey there everyone!
Things here are just fabulous. Carter is a growing boy, finding his tongue last week and starting to laugh more and more each day. I see him starting to focus on his hands and follow us when we move about the room.
We finally got the termination papers from his birthfather. He was discharged from the Navy on a Saturday and we got the papers the following Thursday. We got our official order of placement on June 24. HOORAY! We are hoping to finalize during National Adoption Month this November.
Motherhood is great, and Im convinced came at the time it was supposed to. Steve and I are already whispering about adoption #2 sometime in the next year or so.
It has been a great, interesting, confusing, happy, thrilling, exhausting experience and Id do it again in a heartbeat.
I notice that when Steve and I joined up with parentprofiles.com, there were just 150 couples out there. TOday there are over 280!!!! WOW!!!
Hey, Nikole! So glad to see your update! Glad to hear everything is going well. Congrats on getting your official order of placement -- that must be so exciting!
Yes, there are a lot of families on PProfiles now. We still aren't matched, but heard from another potential birthmom here in Michigan yesterday. She seems very nice, but it is so early in her pregnancy and I'm sure she has a lot of thinking to do. So, we'll see what happens ...
Take care and keep in touch. I would love to see more pictures of Carter when you have a chance. :)
