I can't seem to get into some threads today. For example, I started a thread a while ago called "Why?". Someone posted to it yesterday. When I click on it to read it from the User CP, it tells me I don't have permission to view this thread.
Oh - I just noticed something else - I went to add the eek face to the end of that post. Instead of adding it, it just reset me to the top of the page.
Gremlins!!!
Thanks for any help
Strange....I've accessed threads from my User CP without any problems. I'll check into it and see though..
I have had the same problem with adding the smiley faces etc. For me I found I have to wait until the page is completely done loading before adding the icons. It'll let me write a message before the page is done, but sometimes not the faces.
Can you access your thread from the search function at all?

When I click on search (or anything in that bar) the box for the search comes up in the middle of the page. When i try to get to it, it disappears.
When I click on Quick Links, that 2 appears way down on the page, but it lets me get to it. I can take a screenshot if that helps.
Are you an AOL user? Seems we are having more problems with AOL users of late.
Have you tried clearing out your cookies etc. and making sure your settings for the site haven't changed at all?
Nope - I hate AOL. This is my work computer, so yes, cookies are dumped frequently, and no I haven't changed any settings.
I am going to go try that thread again. Maybe the gremlins have given up!

I'm having the same problem with this thread. Since I had previously posted there, it is in my UserCP subscription list. No matter which way I try to access it (last page, first page, most recent post), I get the same message that was quoted above.
Sam
Well now... I don't have access to it either.
Let me get back to you on this one.

Ok, it all still doesn't make sense, but it's at least reasonable
Since that thread is in the Fertility Forums, it gets lost re-directing you there. If you copy and paste the link (make sure it's the whole link and doesn't have the series of dots) into a new page rather than clicking from here, it will work.
Same thread :) Since the infertility portion of the Adoption Forums were detached and expanded, any previous posts there would still have the same URL in your User CP since, for all intents an purposes, it's the same thread, just living in a different part of the all-encompasing FamilyForums.com.
