I was born Dorothy Joan Peck on February 3, 1944 in Staten Island Hospital- one of three children to be born that day along with brother Jason Peck and sister Dora Peck. My mother's name was Shirley Peck, father listed as Hispanic unknown. I believe my parents both worked at The Waldorf Astoria as bus boy and bus girl where they met. She was 21 and he was 32 when they had an affair. My siblings and I were put through the Louise Wise Agency where we were all adopted from. If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts or life of any of those named, I would really appreciate it. It is a dream of mine to meet my biological family before I leave this world and hope someone out there can help me.

Hi Dorothy,
I did a quick check on Ancestry and there are too many Shirley Pecks without anything else to whittle down the numbers.
You can register your search here - see tab above called Reunite.
You can also register your search with ISRR.net.
New York State also has a registry although with dismal match rate of something less than 5%. This registry may be one of the two registries discussed in the link below, I don't know.
Louise Wise Agency is long closed but Spence Chapin Agency agreed to maintain their files. They are good people and are in support of adoptees reuniting. They recently testified in support of reversing the sealed records law in New York. Do contact them, I can't stress that enough.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
Kind regards,
