Thanks everyone!
Adoption wise, we've been waiting for a year and a half. Becoming a mom, I've been trying for seventeen years - UGH!!
We are having a hard time picking a name, early on I fell in love with Jenna, but my DH wasn't very excited about it and it turns out to be the expectant mom's name. :)
The expectant mom likes Alexis, we could call her Lexi and we like Ashely or Alyssa ( Aly ), but those don't really stand out to me and since I loved Jenna so much, I am really having a hard time finding one that feels as right as that one did.
If we go with any of the A names, we're thinking of Jocelle or Joy for a middle name - they mean the same thing, Joyous.
Darci -
Congratulations to you too. Do you have a name yet? Where will she be born? Our 8th wedding anniversary is on the 6th, so this is a wonderful gift for us!!!! :) :)
Best wishes everyone, thanks again!!!!
Hugs,
Deb

Deb -- our little angel will be born in CA. We are going to name her Trinity. She is also our little anniversary present - we just had our 7th anniversary last week. :D
How are you dealing with the wait? I'm going crazy here. My other 2 kids help keep me busy, but they sure don't stop my mind from thinking about Trinity all the time. It certainly doesn't help that we were told the due date was Aug 18 and then at a more recent ultrasound they changed it to Sep 9. Hopefully they don't change it again -- I would NOT be able to handle that.

Hi Darci -
Well you don't have too far to travel, are you flying or driving down? We decided to drive since we'll have so many extra baby things to bring and we may be staying 2-3 weeks.
Trinity is a very pretty name. Congratualtions on your anniversary too! :)
Right now I'm handling things well, but the doc thinks her due date isn't until Oct. so we're waiting for her to have a follow up and can get a better idea of a due date. I may be in your shoes soon, but we're praying she's still on track for Sept.9th. :) Her last ultra sound they said the baby is just under 5lbs. right now and her lungs aren't fully developed, that's why they're thinking more like October.
I am just so excited to be able to travel and can't wait to meet everyone. The expectant mom also asked me to be in the room while she has the c-section, so I'm looking forward to that too, I was so honored she asked. :)
This week I've kept bust by going through the baby things we have and making sure we have everything we'll need for her during the trip. I've been washing lots of baby clothes and putting them in her dresser. Last weekend I also stopped at a yard sale and scored big on baby girl clothes, mostly new stuff too! :)
Keep me posted, take care! :) :)
Hugs,
Deb
Just wanted to post quickly to say that we go the call about 1/2 an hour ago that M is in labor!!! My brother (the bfather) called about 10 minutes ago to say they are on their way to the hospital!!! EEEEEEK! I AM SO EXCITED! :D
We will be leaving ASAP to go see our new little girl, and won't be back for 4 or 5 days at least. I will try to post while we are gone.
I'm debating whether or not I should wake my 5 yr old up to tell her.
:D

Unfortunately we haven't been able to get a flight yet, so we wont be going until later today....but, Trinity was born at 8:41 pm and weighs 8 lbs 4.6 oz and is 21". So, we're rushing around doing last minute packing and getting the dogs to the kennel, etc. I will post again when we get there (after we see Trinity of course).
Oh Darci, she's so beautiful, just love those cheeks! ;)
Actually we do have an update on the due date, it's been pushed back until Oct.2nd now - UGH!!!! :( We were really looking forward to traveling on the 7th, so now we'll be there for my birthday, unless she decides she wants to come early or later.
These next few weeks are going to be so hard and I feel so bad for the expectant mom, she's getting so big and miserable, I wish I could be there now to help her out with the boys so she could rest.
Try to get as much rest as you can, while you can and thanks for sharing her pic, she's a doll! ;)
Take care!
Hugs,
Deb

Hi M -
Thank you for the well wishes. :)
After we were waiting for a match through our agency for a year and a half, the expectant mom found us through our on-line profile site. :)
I have another update....
We will have a Sept. babe afterall, Tuesday the doc told J that she could have the baby any day during the last week of this month, I suggested the 26th and now we're just waiting to confirm the date - we want to make sure it will work for everyone. ;)
Take care!
Hugs,
Deb
Hi everyone -
Alexis didn't want to wait, she was born Sept.19th at 4:15pm, 6lbs.9oz and 19 inches.
We're planning to leave ASAP today - UGH! Not sure how long we'll be so I'll miss your posts and will update as soon as we're home.
Best wishes to all!
Take care,
Deb
PS. Yes Donna, it's me, thank you. :D
