Hi :) I'm very interested in BF my adoptive children. I'm planning on adopting twins(birth or virtual) or a infant & toddler. I'm hoping to adopt from Vietnam in the Winter of 2006. Here is my big question: Should I try to start BF IN vietnam or should I wait until we are home? Should I even try to get milk in before I travel? or just start fresh we come home... Thanks for all the replies :D

Shana,
It really will depend on the age of the baby(s) you get matched with...if you're certain you're getting infants and have 5+ months to wait for them, I'd prepare during those 5 months, and would even try to breastfeed once I got the baby(s), but also understanding that the baby(s) may take a while to take to breastfeeding or may reject it altogether.
Using contraceptives, Domperidone, Fenugreek and pumping....or a combination of those....you can produce lots of milk in 5 months. Be consistent and persistent. It takes work, but it's worth it.
Good luck to you, your adoption and your babies!
