I wanted to let all of you know on this site, that the NC Coalition for Adoption Reform (NCCAR) will be hosting a RegDay site celebrating the International Soundex Reunion Registries (ISRR) 30th birthday in Durham, NC.
Anyone who lives near or thinks they could travel to be with us on Saturday October 1, we would love to hear from you. If you haven't registered with ISRR, this would be a great time for you to do so.
The site will be outside of the Wal-Mart at the New Hope Commons Shopping Center from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm. For more information and a map you can go to the RegDay site: http://www.adopteerights.org/regday/
or visit us at our website at http://adoptionreform-nc.org. to learn more about what is happening regarding the reform in NC.
Please contact us if you would like to join us that day, as we are ordering a cake for the volunteers, and will have soft drinks and balloons on hand also. We look forward to any of you who are in NC and can join us to do so.

Wow Roberta!
11 people viewed the posting about Reg Day and no one extra showed up!
I look at all the birthmothers and adoptees searching on this website (and many other websites for that matter) and I hope they realize that the NC legislature will be voting WHETHER OR NOT TO OPEN ADOPTION RECORDS IN THIS STATE in 2007. That's right around the corner!
I hope people jump on the bandwagon. I really do...for some of them it will be the ONLY chance they will have to get this information.
THE TIME IS NOW!
Birth mothers and adoptees are dying while in the search process! The longer we (adoptees and birth parents) wait to be heard, the more people that will die before reaching reunion!!! I know this is grim for a Sunday morning, but it's the TRUTH!
Get with the program people!
We need to UNITE!!!!
