Does anyone who has filed the I-600A know the following:
1. Do you have to wait on your homestudy to file?
2. Must you use infopass? We know KC is our district, but the infopass wont work for our zip code.
Thanks!

I am not sure about the ZIP code situation, but our social worker did tell us to wait until we had our home study in hand to schedule our appointment with the KC office. On a positive note, we received our I-171 about 10 days after our appointment for turning in our I-600a/fingerprinting (April 2005)

Awesome! Thanks! For our first adoption we waited 85 days for the I-171H, so it sounds like things have sped up! Thanks again.
I too have read on another site that KC BCIS office is a-movin', these days. No you do not need to use Infopass.
I have heard you CAN file with Agency, "To be announced," and they amend it later ... your homestudy agcy should know that.
My local (KC) agency last year said a group of agcys was meeting with the officer who handles adoption preapprovals ... so there is soem organization of agencies, around here ...
GOOD LUCK ALL!
