Seeking job in Public Relations

I'm about to graduate in December with a BA in journalism and would really love to do public relations work in the field of adoption. I completed a six month internship in public relations at a university, but I am really interested in adoption. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it. I'd preffer to stay in the Boston, MA area, but would consider elsewhere on the East Coast if the right opportunity arose. Thank You!
