We are Robert and Darrell, and we have been on a heartfelt journey to start our family for nearly four years.
Hello! We are Robert and Darrell, and we have been on a heartfelt journey to start our family for nearly four years. After serving as emergency foster parents in 2020 for two placements newborn infants, we decided to pursue an open-adoption. We live in Robert's hometown of Vallejo, California, where he is surrounded by a loving network of cousins, uncles, aunties, and grandparents. Our blue, two-story house overlooks the waterfront in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, complete with several parks. Vallejo boasts mild summers and refreshing, chilly winters. We are actively involved in our church where we got married which is full of welcoming, wonderful people. Robert served on the Board of Stewards, volunteers at the welcome table, and is often helping wherever needed and Darrell volunteer...

Our love story began in a coffee shop, where what we thought would be a short date turned into an evening of deep conversation. Before we knew it, we had fallen in love and have been happily married for almost six years. One of our dreams is to become parents, and we are excited to adopt and share the overflowing love we have with a newborn baby. We thrive on serving others, both through our professional work and community volunteering. As homebodies at heart, we enjoy reading, spending time with family, and visiting local festivals. Our aim is to create a home that feels welcoming to everyone.Nuestra historia de amor comenzó en una cafetería, donde lo que pensamos que sería una cita corta se convirtió en una noche de conversación profunda. Antes de que nos diéramos cuenta, nos habíamos enamorado y hemos estado felizmente casados durante casi seis años. Uno de nuestros sueños es ser padres y estamos emocionados de adoptar y compartir el amor desbordante que tenemos con un bebé recién nacido. We also have a lively dog named Cypher, a rescue pup full of energy who loves to run with us. We initially adopted two dogs, but tragically lost one last year. Cypher brings so much joy into our lives and is a cherished member of our family. Robert works as a Special education teacher, dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities reach their full potential. He teaches in a low-income school district and is passionate about being a voice for his students. Darrell serves as a lab supervisor in a hospital and as a clinical lab scientist, making a difference in people's health through science.

Robert and Darrell have so much to offer, to their friends and family, and to any child that would grace their household. They are loving, supportive, and thoughtful. They keep a cozy, clean home and are financially responsible. They are more than good bakers, they put thought into the food they put into their bodies. Both are extremely intelligent and respectful of other's perspectives. They love books and curiosity too! I could go on, listing the many wonderful qualities that Darrell and Robert possess, but simply put, they are good people and anyone would be lucky to have them as family <3

We just got back from Peru where Robert went to stury spanish. He is bilingual and Darrell is working on it.
