I just called the hospital where I was born and requested my Medical Records from that time I was there. They stated that due to the new laws (HIPPA, etc.), anything more than 6 years old is not available. I am guessing they were destroyed.
Is the only way to get these records now to go to the courthouse and request them, or is there something else I can try?
russdwright,
Contact DHS about getting your non-ID. They should be able to tell you how to go about it.
call the DHS, Adoption Section at (405)521-2475.
Let me know how it goes....

I called the number you gave as well as the number for Martha at Search & Reunion (405-521-3832). I left messages at both number for someone to call me. I will likley not be able to return a call anytime soon, but I am hoping my wife will call for me to get the necessary info on Friday.
Hopefully someone there can at least tell you what you need to do about getting non-id.
In the mean time post your information everywhere you can find.
I live in Oklahoma so if you need help with any other resources just let me know...I would be more than happy to help!

UPDATE:
I got my adoption decree and have now sent in my request for medical records. I am letting my primary care physician do the leg work on it, so hopefully I'll get the records soon.
