Hello everyone! I'm in MA and getting started on paperwork for adoption from China. I got my certifiied marriage and birth certificates, and found that the marriage one has several errors. The errors are on my DH's parent's information (father's name missing the "Jr.", mothers name listed as Elizabeth but birth certificate says Betty, and both parents listed as born in Indiana when one was born in Ohio and one in Illinois). These errors are all b/c my DH didn't know the answers, and the clerk told us they didn't really matter, so he guessed (this was 12 years ago - DH doesn't have much family info like birthdays and birthplaces stored in his memory!).
My question is: do I need to get these fixed in order to get I-600A approval? I was told by the town clerk that it would take 3 months to get an amendment! I was hoping to have everything submitted much sooner than that.
Thanks,
Raven
