Travel with small children?

Hi there,

Has anyone taken their small children on the adoption trip? I can't bear the thought of leaving our 14-month old at home, although he will be older once the time comes.

Hello! For our 2nd adoption, we took our then 15 month old for the visit trip, and later, the then 20 month old for the pick up trip to Guatemala. He's a great traveler and we had no problems. It's a bit of a hassle, as it is always when traveling with little ones, but we were glad we did it. If it feels right for you, just do it. Best of luck.
