How do you update recent posts. When I go to my profile and then look at the area that shows forum info, it is way off on my recent posts and threads started. I thought maybe there was a problem and it was this way with everyones profile and took a while for it to get updated, but I have been to other's profiles and see they have stuff that is on there that is recent. How do I get my profile to update and show all the threads I have written on recntly?
Thank you.
Carolyn
Carolyn,
There is a problem with the searchӔ function of the forums for some members, when they try to access their ֓recent posts they donԒt get anything recentӔ at all.
This is something our tech support team is aware of and hopes to fix soonas I know more, I will post!

Thank you Brandy, sometimes that is my only way I remeber where I posted and try to follow a recent post becasue I forgot which forum I posted in, there are so many! LOL!! Thanks for keeping us updated on what is going on with this.
Carolyn
Carolyn,
Until we get the issue resolved, some members have had success searching via the "advanced search" feature at the top of the forums.
You can go to http://forums.adoption.com/search.php? and type in your name and then in the "Search Options" section, under Find Posts from, select "A Month Ago" - anything older than that gives you the same results you get when clicking recent posts from your profile.
Going about it like that will (or at least *should*) show you the most recent posts made by you during the last month.
Good luck :)
Thank you Brandy,
I was able to find quite a bit there. Another question while I am asking technical questions, when I am on the journal page, I can move around the journals, but if I want to go from the journals to the forums, do a search or any of the things at the top, I can't. I can do all of this from the forums page though. Am I alone?
Carolyn
Carolyn,
Don't even get me started on the journals LOL
No, it's not you...and that too is on the list...sadly, some portions of the forums are a real mess, but we're trying to fix them!

Thank you so much for the information. I was beginning to wonder if it was only me or if everyone was having these problems. Good luck getting everything in order and thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
Sincerely,
Carolyn
Hi Brandy - the search thing is still an issue right? Just wanted to double check and make sure it's not "operator error" on my part!
thanks
Nope, not "operator error" - its "on the list" - we've got a few more issues we're trying to address first - once those are done, we hope to fix these :)
You can kinda get it to work if you actually go to the search page and look for posts less than a month old. I've had good luck that way...
