Green Parenting Forum?
Ive been doing a ton of research҅parenting has changed a lot in the last eleven yearsand I am finding that IŒm drawn to green parentingӔ.
I did a few green parentingӔ things with my sonbut there seems to be more of a following now.
So, my question to you is: Do you think that a œGreen Parenting Forum would be a good idea?
Green Parenting (which is called ԓnatural parenting in many places, but might be misunderstood in this venue) consists of things like cloth diapering, organic food prep and feeding, veggie/vegan lifestyles etcԅ
Are you a Green ParentӔ and would you use a forum like this?

I've been considering using cloth diapers, but to be honest, am kind of concerned by how the cleaning aspect works... do you flush the stuff down the toilet and soak the diaps before washing??? Too embarrassed to ask before, maybe a Green Forum would help. I think it's great! BTW...if anyone has any advice about cloth diapering logistics, please share!!!

I like the liners you can buy (Kooshies makes some paper ones like a roll of toilet paper but longer and thicker, Gerber (?) something softer just a rectangle). You can just flush the liner and the poop in the toilet. When I was using cloth, I didn't soak the diapers with pee only. All the diapers went in the bin and rinsed them once before washing. Found this was easier than having the diapers stew in the pail with water and they were very heavy to bring downstairs to wash (and a challenge with a toddler and a new baby at home). We also only went about two days or so before we washed so it didn't get too stinky. There are lots of sites on the net about cloth diapering!

I use cloth and disposable. Lately, because of the holidays I've only been using disposable. I like using both, it gives me convenience when we are out for extended periods, but I love washing and folding all the little cloth diapers..lol
I have the diapers from hipbaby, so they are much like disposable. I use an extra cloth liner (there is an attatched one as well) and a diposable liner (kooshie) and a diaper cover also by hipbaby. I rinse them out and use a stain remover when necessary, and wait til the end of the day to wash and dry. I actually like using cloth...they are so soft....but you do have to change more frequently.
