Hi there! We are a cc couple with a 2 yr old bio daughter and are considering adopting a child from China. We're completely confident that this would be the right choice for us but I want to make sure that it would be the right choice for the child as well. I would love to hear from someone that has been adopted by parents with a bio child from a different race. Thank you :)

we actually had 4 bio children when we decided to adopt an aa child. it has been the best thing we have done! we are actually trying now to get her brother and sister! people ask us if we get looked at strangely having 4 white and 3 black and the answer is yes but i think it more because we have 7 not the color!! we choose to stay in contact with the grandparents and aunts which is nice for any questions we have. it has just made our family that much bigger. i know you wont have that choice but there are plenty of places to learn about her culture. anyway now that i have rattled on i think that if your 1st instinct is that this child will be right for you that you should go with it the child is going to love you no matter what race you are!http://forums.adoption.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=1131155#
