i just recently read my first book about adoption (20 things adoptive children wish their adoptive parents knew) and it really made me start to think...
so my resolution for this year is to bite the bullet and overcome my fears by pursuing a search for my biological mother. up until now i've always put it off, and i think that it is because i was scared, but i'm going to do it this year.
another resolution of mine is to try to help other adoptees. i really feel like that is something i need to do, and i was at a loss of how to do it until last night. i started a blog and i'm going to journal, document my thoughts and feelings as i embark on this journey of discovery and maybe even reunion, in the hopes that even just one other adoptee will be encouraged, comforted or helped as a result.
i would love for you to stop by, and please feel free to leave comments!
