We have heard that all adoption procedures in Romania are delayed as their new government is established. We have been working on this process since June and visited the orphanage to meet our son and daughter a short time later. The US embassy has confirmed the delay, but did not comment as to the length. We desperately need to know when the process will again move forward. Has anyone else looked into this?

Don't give up the same thing happen to us in 1996-1998 but we eventually after lots of tears and praying got our daughter home! Our hearts go out to you.

There is a support group for those who are and have adopted from Romania at eeadopt.com. There should be people on there who know what is going on.
Congratulation and Good luck. I got stuck in the 1991/92 delay.
