Hello all! About a year ago (i believe...may have been longer/shorter) i posted the "age to adopt" thread. I was so bummed and felt completely let go by my church i have loved my whole life. I felt like there was not a lot out there JUST for Catholic Adoptive parents. So, my dh and I decided to go international (Guatemala has no age requirements). Then, after we had just decided on an angecy but had not done anything with that, my aunt and grandmother told me about St.Joseph Adoption Agency in Olathe Kansas. They are so sweet! I felt so relieved, no age requirement! I am not sure how much i can say about them but if you want you can PM me. But i just wanted to say how great it felt, I really felt like my church was doing something specifically for US! A lot of churchs (baptist, protestant, etc) have programs for thier parishoners or the parish's will help, but my church is so big that there was really no help. I don't know how many of you also feel like that, but i know i did. And don't get me started on the church laws against invitro and IUI. I just wanted to give everyone an update, hopefully i have not said anything out of line, i did not want to "promote" the agency as much as share my renewed faith in our wonderful church!!
Thank you all for your advice, i should be joining at the end of Feb. and just can't wait!! We are getting our homestudy done (home visit is next saturday....soooooo nervous!) and i can't believe i really AM going to be a mom!! We have already picked out a stroller, bedding, and other things!! LOL
Thank you for listening!

Well, sadly this agency did not work out. PLEASE do not use them. I don't think I put thier name out there so not terribly worried about it, but I would have expected much more from Nun's supposably working with and for the church. They were nothing more than a facilitator.
