I always see these thread starters and think, "Geesh! Check the USCIS website!" But now I'm here, writing the question.
I HAVE been checking the website, and I SWEAR that when I checked it a couple of days ago, it said Chicago was processing I-600As for November 10, 2005. My form didn't go in until mid-December, so I've been very calm. However, the site was updated yesterday and it NOW says that they are processing for February 28, 2005.
Does anyone have any insight on this for me? Is Chicago REALLY a year behind in these applications, and I mis-read 2004 as 2005? Could they REALLY have done three and a half months' worth of applications in 6 weeks (since the last update) that included the holidays? Is it possible that someone had their fingers WAY off the keys and typed "February" instead of "December"?
I'm living overseas at the moment, so I'm doing this indy and don't have an agency to call to check into this. I've got you guys! So all the people who have used the Chicago office.....HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLP!
Thanks bunches.
