Has anyone heard how jmchowat is doing? I pray that all is going well and there are no more delays for her and her new family.
According to her blog, they arrived safely, had court and have now settled in for the 10-waiting period to be over before they can return home. Court was on Wed. the 15th.

Cheryl,
Would It Be Possible To Share Jane's Blog Address With Me. I'd Love To Read About Their Journey. Thanks! I Am So Happy To Hear Things Are Progressing.
She posted it on the "leaving tomorrow" thread, so I feel it is ok to post again:

It sounds like things are going well for many who are over there now. Lets hope it continues until we get there! Still waiting for an appointment...

We are alive and well in Kramatorsk, the weather is even getting warmer!! We've settled into a new routine of walking to Roschitsa (Daniel's orphanage) in the morning, which is quite an even since it's 2 miles over a 6 to 12 inch sheet of ice/packed snow in -25 degree weather. Then we have a driver that picks us up, takes us to see Maggie, then takes us to have lunch & check our email. We had court on Monday and our 10 days should be up next week. We are hoping to get birth certificates and pasports by the end of next week, go back to Kiev over the weekend and we should leave for St Louis on March 2nd. So far, things are going well, but I always hesitate to say that when we're in Ukraine. Still, this is our third trip here and so we're hoping this time's the charm.
We love it here, everyone is so nice, the orphanages are great and it's a slower pace of life that it gives us a chance to relax. I cannot post pictures here or on our blog, but I have PLENTY to post when we get home.
I have heard from several people that they are getting court dates in March, so things are moving, albeit slowly. It sounds like there were not as many children available after the shut down as people were expecting, but I have heard of people getting healthy referrals in February.
The people over here are expecting there to be another shut down in May when the ministry change takes place, and of course there is still the problem with the missing post placement reports. There are so many beautiful children over here, I know a lot are not eligible for adoption, but I hate to think that any of them cannot get a family because of the post placement reports that have not been completed in the past.
There is an Italian couple adopting a little girl from Daniel's group at Roschitsa and two other couples adopting from Antoshka, I think one is a local family and the other is from Germany.
Thanks for all your positive thoughts
Jane
