Wait time in Detroit?

Wondering if anyone has had recent experience with Detroit wait times from fingerprinting to 171H? We sent in our home study on Monday and received our appointment letter by Saturday. Our appointment is for about 10 days from now. This gives me hope that it may be somewhat quick. Has anyone had any dealings with them?

I really hate to be the one to say this...but Detroit is a mess! We have had all of our paperwork in for about 100 days, and it is still not in. We have had our US Rep contact them, but that has not done any good. I really hope that it goes better for you!!

Just to let you know, we finally received our I-171H. It was filed on Nivember 9 of last year (which is my birthday!!). That can tell you some kind of timetable!

We filed I600A w/USCIS in Dec. 05.

Sent completed home study Jan. 06

Received fingerprint appt. March 23.

Received I-171H April 26

Detroit seems to be very inconsistent lately. I know of a couple people who got their 171H in about a month in Oct. and Nov., but someone posted the other day on a MI Yahoo group I belong to that they filed their I600A in mid. Nov. 2006 and just got their 171H on Jan. 11th. It may just have been with the holidays in there though. You might want to post this question on some of the country specific forums where it might get more viewings. I know that there are quite a few Michigan people on the Guatemalan Forum.
