There is an article, albeit very very old, on Today's Parent that addresses Behavior and Development and the many concerns that new, first, second and maybe more time parents have. Sometimes you watch your babe and see new, strange, behavior and wonder is this typical? You might discuss with your partner, parents, sibling, friends and pediatrician after observation and ask them is this typical? Even sometimes after reassurance from pediatrician, you are still not sure, you try to relax then one day it just disappears as quickly as it appeared.

Doesn't somebody have something?
Okay I found this article by looking up babes who gag themselves. B has been doing this for over a month off and on, gags several times until he vomits, not a lot, just enough. Gags in his high chair, sometimes while I am holding him, sometimes while he is standing in his bed while I am in the shower (for 5 minutes.)
He is not losing weight. He is not sick. He is not doing it for the attention because I have given no positive reenforcement, or otherwise, for this, though it is hard. I have tried total ignoring or ignoring with no eye contact but clearly declaring "No gagging." He is seemingly laughing and continuing on. I am convinced it is a self stimulation thing, which is pretty typical, in some sort if only really minor way (as a way of exploring environment and beginning comprehending ability/self), of most kids.
My daughter had an array of peculiar behaviors. She was a severe headbanger, had very intense tantrums (seemingly not normal which I later learned were pretty common), and though she was a very alert baby, she had moments of being non responsive to her name and environment. I was convinced for a long time that she was having seizures. Then night terrors started, so I began reading what I could find about those and consulted with our pediatrician.
No one really talks about these things unless you mention them but come to find out, head banging is extremely common as are night terrors. After a little perusing the internet, it seems that gagging is too. Ugh.
