OK, so our professional teams are losing players right and left. So maybe we should focus on college teams, and in particular my alma mater Boston College!!! How about those Eagles - both the men's and women's basketball teams in the sweet 16!!! The men's games have been terrific, but the women beat #1 Ohio!
I remember the Eagles men going to the sweet 16 when I was in college way back when. There were joyous riots on campus. I can just imagine what it'll be like there this weekend. I won't be on campus, but I'll be cheering on the men Friday evening, and the women Sat night (although it's a very late game, so I might have to check in Sun. am...loyalty is strong, but sleep deprivation is not pretty  ).
The topic at work has been the trades going on with the proteams so I will go with BC!!! I almost went there for college but moved.

Maura - I think the men will beat Villanova tomorrow night and cruise into the Final Four. Craig Smith is awesome. I actually scored a free ticket to their game against Wake Forrest last month, it was sold out and the crowd was very into it.
I'm very proud of the women, beating OSU. Can you imagine what it will be like with the Final Four at the Garden and BC in it?
Just listen to me - I went to BU and UMass Amherst.
OK, a sad weekend for the Eagles all around - both the men and women in games that could have gone their way, but that's the way it goes. The games in the tournament are so good, anyway. But too many nail-biters!!!
I was ready to start rooting for UCONN, but they lost today, too. Yikes!
My office pool is basically dead, so I'm rooting for George Mason. I was hoping the BC women's team would come through, it would have been fun to see them play the Final Four in Boston.
