Question about going to Canada for a wedding

Our potential new baby boy is due mid May. I was wondering if anyone knows about leaving the US to go to Canada? Can you leave the country with the baby before everything is finalized completely?

We are in TN and we were told we could do anything with the baby that we would have done with our bio boys so I think you should be able to go. I would check with my agency or attorney first.

You would need a certified copy of the current birth certificate as well as a letter from whomever has legal custody certifying that you have permission to travel to and from Canada.

Our daughter was one month old when we visited my family in Canada (they summer there) from PA. We took a notarized note from the adoption agency (which has legal guardianship over her) and a letter from our attorney stating that we were in the process of adopting her.

Truthfully, they never even noticed her in the back seat with her two doggies.
