Well here I am again lol, wondering if anyone has ever heard of birth mothers day? I have just found out about it and was wondering if any other states have a day set aside just for this or not? It was interesting to find out about it but there does not seem to be much info on it in my city. Any body have an answer?

I, personally, prefer to celebrate on Mother's day.

As I said in the article, I am glad that my son does not know that Birth Mother's Day exists. I would much prefer to have him think of both his mothers on Mother's Day.
At least on that one day, I would prefer to be accorded the right to be called a "Mother". I have two other children anyway, so in anyone's eyes, I am a mother. But, I do not want special recognition or praise for being a mother who did not raise one of my children.
I haven't heard of Birth Mother's Day, so I am glad to hear that there is such a thing. I don't have a child myself that I celebrate with but I have a step daughter (through marriage) and so I hear "Happy Mother's Day" but it's just not the same when I hear "Happy Mother's Day Betsy" instead of "Happy Mother's Day Mom".
My son was adopted through open adoption, but I hardly ever hear form him and when he does call, it's not to talk to me but to my step daughter (they are close in age, he is 6 and she is 8).
