I was doing a scan of the major on-line auction site for scrapbooking embellishments and found a new on that really bugs me:
Adoption Price Tags! :grr: :grr:
The are little tags with bar codes on them with little sayings about adoption story and togerther forever.
I am sooo sad that someone would think this was a good idea!

How awful!
It's one thing to say something like those commercials.. but even that would be pushing it. You know the ones.
Airfare to meet child $X.
Phone bill for calling home to share the joy $X
Holding your child in your arms for the first time...priceless.
But, even that I would be uncomfortable with. I think it'd be cute for other people, but for me, that still would be kind of borderline.
I am just sooo disgusted by it, I did send the seller (who it appears to be the creator) a message trying to explain why this was just wrong and asking her to reconsider offering this item and consider creating a more appropriate item. They sham is that the selection of products available for adoption is limited, but we don't need those 'tags'

Diane,
I'm so gla you pointed out to the seller/creator just how inappropriate that was. We're suh a small population that I think people forget to use their common sense when creating products for us.
Blessings,
Jenny
