I see that there are a lot of people waiting for I-171 or 797s these days. So glad I am not in the boat alone. Can anyone tell me a recent time frame using the Atlanta office? We were fingerprinted on 2-24 and sent the homestudy in on 3-22. I know it's only been 2 weeks but I am already stalking the mailman. :)

I STILL haven't gotten it yet. My husband and I went for an Info pass appointment and were told that the woman who coordinated approvals was relocated to another position and there is now one person processing them. I have since had this confirmed by another couple that is waiting for their approval. Our home study was sent 7 weeks ago today, we were fingerprinted on Feb. 24th so it has been a really long wait. Our dossier is all ready to go, just waiting on this piece of paper. My agency has several families in this same predicament so I know it is not an issue with our application alone. I am trying so hard to be patient but it's not easy. I know this wait and frustration will be worth it in the end - I just need to keep reminding myself of that. Best of luck for a speedy turnaround for you and anyone else who is waiting!!
After waiting 8 weeks and 2 days after our home study was submitted to Atlanta USCIS and almost 3 months after fingerprinting, we received our 797!! Although it seemed like the wait lasted forever, I am sooo relieved to finally have that precious piece of paper. It is being authenticated, etc. right now and I have my fingers crossed that we will be DTC by the end of May.
