For two long years I have been turning over adoption in my head... and now that the birth father of my two angels (aged 2 and 9 months) has abandoned us and fathered a child elsewhere I have realized this is the best thing for my babies. However, everyone wants just a baby under a year old, and a caucasian... It's frustrating. This will be a difficult adoption, and I don't know where to turn. How can you find parents who want a little girl not just babies? And two of them together? They cannot be seperated... that would break my heart even further because amidst all the turmoil they have bonded to eachother.
My agency is trying to terminate the father's rights but it will be a legal battle for the adoptive parents if the father does what we expect him to...
Does anybody have any advice?

I am sure there are many adoptive parents out there willing to take a legal risk. There are many willing to work in the best interest of you and your children. The agency needs to explains the risks involved to potential adoptive parents upfront. I think the difficulty may lay in the termination of paternal rights, not in the placement of the two children together. As far as where to turn...there are some good non profit agencies than can help you. If you are not happy with the advice you are currently receiving from your agency, there are many birthmothers here that may be able to give you some sound advise as to where else to turn. You also need a very good attorney of your own, not affiliated with an agency. One that will work on your behalf.
