Hello everyone, Im new to this. I found these forums while searching yahoo and decided to ask everyone what they htink of my situation. So, here it is. I am a 19 year old woman who is enganged and at the moment isnt currently thinking about having a family. Back last month, I had an incident where my fiance and I had sex but first the first few minutes we didnt use any protection (got into the heat of the moment and we made a bad decision). My period came 10 days late, but eventually came. It seemed normal to me. It was spotting first day, then regualr for 3 days, then 2 days of spotting. What I have read in articles, it says that having that bleeding it is impossible that you would still be pregnant. Has this ever happened to anyone and they still were pregnant? Also, around that time I took 3 pregnancy tests, evenly spaced like the directions said to do, and all came back negative. Now it is this month and my period is 2 days late. I took another pregnancy test when it was 2 days late, it came back negative. This month my fiance and I used condoms completely to make sure to eliminate as much pregnancy risk as possible. I guess what I am trying to ask are the following things:
1.Has anyone had a normal period and still was pregnant?
2.Is it possible that I could be pregnant and the tests just not show it?
3.Could the last period being 10 days late affect this period as well?
Thank you to anyone that takes the time to reply. I truly appreciate it.
My period I had last month: Well mine wasnt very light. And what I heard, red blood is a sign of new blood that generally means you arent. And by now, I dont think I am pregnant from the other month where it was 10 days late because wouldnt that amount of HCg show up on a home pregnancy test? its this month that im alittle confused on. I havent been under alot of stress, but around the time that I should have ovulated my grandmother passed away and I was very upset. Could that have possibly made ovualtion later?
Well thats what I would think as well, because if I was pregnant and had my period I would be over a month by now. So now, Im concerned that I got pregnant this month even though we used condoms from start to finish, and only did it 3 times in a month (but I know the amount doesnt matter).
Implantation can happen late for some women. It's possible but less likely that you would be having negative results after an entire month past the first day of what should have been your period.

is it really possible for it to happen 20 days after conception though. isnt that alittle late? and impantation bleeding isnt supposed to last 6 days with some heavy bleeding. or is it? cause thats how my last period was. it was:
day 1- spotting during day with bleeding in late afternoon into night with a few cramps in AM
day 2,3,4- bleeding that was normal to heavy
day 5,6- light bleeding that turned into spotting by the last day
I dont think that that was implantation bleeding. how much later can implantation actual occur though?
about this month, im not too worried, or so im trying to remain as calm as possible about it, about being pregnant. from what i have read, it could just be a change in cycles. but i really dont think i am, or at least hope im not. i did some research about how people could get pregnant when a condom is used properly and it is 3 out of 100 couples. i dont know if that should make me worry more or less. any advice at all???
Implantation bleeding doesn't even happen with every woman and varies on amount/etc.

i think that the period i had in april was my normal one, well it seemed to be normal. its this month that is making me worry even though there is less of a chance of pregnancy this month. would being stressed during ovulation cause it to be later or not happen at all? because as i stated in a previous post, or at least i think i stated it, i had a death in my family and was very stressed.
mostly i am just worried because my period hasnt show up. but looking back at all my cycles since july 2005 they havent been all around the same time, but keep going back to 25 or 26 days.

i have an appt, but the earlies i could get in was the 22nd. so i have to wait until then. in the meantime, i still have no period, now its 9 days late. i took a test again on the 8th day it was late (yesterday) and used the brand EPT. It came back negative. On the 2nd day it was late I took a First Response Early and that was negative. What I have heard those tests rarely give a false, especilly when your period was actual late. Has anyone gotten a false with those brands? It is possible I got pregnant from having protected sex even thogh I followed every direction to make sure I wouldnt? Or is it possible that I got pregnant last month and still have a period? Would it still say negative after a month? A week?

The only method of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence. Using any other form of birth control has risks and can result in a pregnancy.
he doesnt have a problem with that, i talked to him about it. i know most things are possible, i just think by now if i were, i would have showed and i would have at least one other symptom. i dont even feel like i am.
Are you stressed? Are you underweight?
A missing period not caused by pregnancy can indicate other medical problems which is why it is absolutely necessary for you to go to your doctor appointment. Hopefully it's just unnecessary stress about the missing period that is making it stay in hiding.

yes im stressed about this. im not underweight though. im normal weight for my age and height. i quit smoking last month. im slowly eating better food and getting away from junk food. couldnt it just be possible that i didnt ovulate due to stress around that time?

Have you had any NEW stress as opposed to everyday stresses (as the article linked above explains).
