There appears to be some questions about what will and will not change with the upcoming addition of our Paid Members service.
The options, forums, services, features that you have no as a free member will remain the same for our free members after we add the paid member option.
The paid members will get everything the free member gets along with some additional features, ad-free viewing and additional forum viewing options.
So, nothing will change for our free members you֒ll still get all of the same great forums, the same number of PMs as well as all of the other stuff you currently get.
WeҒre not taking anything away from anyoneso please donŒt worry about that.

The paid service is OPTIONAL - you do not have to subscribe to the paid service if you aren't interested. Anyone who does not wish to subscribe will not get fewer options than they have right now.
We haven't decided on what the final cost will be, but I did poll our members on this a few months ago and it is right in line with what our members suggested they'd be willing to pay for such a service.
Current members won't be grandfathered - but we might run a special for members who wish to sign up during the first week or something.
Again, we're still discussing this on our end.
I was referred to this thread when I questioned the purpose of labels (not paid membership) in the naming contest thread. Is there some reason I'm not aware of? I fully understand that the forum needs funds to operate. I just wonder whether the general forum needs an "elite" membership distinguished on the basis of contributions.
The bottom line - the subscription based service HAS to be named...you can't set it up without it. I've brought it to the members to find out what they think we should call it and got some great feedback.
The intention is NOT to create an elite group - but to give our members some say in things that take place on the forums.
