Has anyone ever been to Medjugjorje? A friend of my father's went and brought back a medal for each of us girls that was blessed there.
Just wondering. I've been reading a little more about it lately. It sounds very interesting.
My folks were there this past Nov...Nov 2005. They had an AMAZING experience. They stayed in one of the visionaries homes while they stayed there. Truly, it was life altering.

My aunt went a few years back and brought us all rosaries blessed there. I added it to my special rosary collection. The whole thing interested me so much. You can go online by googling medjugorie and get a text of the daily messages to the visionaries and it has them over the years by date. I've done lots of reading on it and it all sounds so awesome. Seems like the last book I read was "The Final Harvest," but that might have been re: Marian apparitions in general, not just the Medjugorie ones.
I have never been there but was invited to go this year. A friends wife puts together pilgrimages each fall of about 20 or so people to go. I would absolutly love to join them someday. My grandfathers family came from the area and my grandmothers are from the Slovakia area. Someday I will go to Medjugorie as well as the other areas. A relative of mine went also and brought back a medal for my grandma, it's one of the few things she has not gotten rid of and always wears.
Never been, but would love to go. Have heard the most amazing stories from people in our church that have gone. I would love to go one day.
I'm planning to get some books to read a little more on Mary and her appartions in general. I'll try Em's book. I happened on a book at a garage sale last weekend, and it has really piqued my interest and made me think about my Marian devotion .
