If anyone out there has any information I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

The child will have already had their medical exam for visa so all you need to do is go with the child to emabassy for visa interview and visa will be ready the next day. You will have to be in country 4 days but when you plan travel remember that you "loose" a day going as they are 12 hrs different (at least from Midwest where we live) We left Sunday morning early and arrived Monday night there time. English is spoken everywhere in the Philippines which makes travel easier. We stayed at the Westin. Holiday Inn is good too, Incidentaly, we have two friend who submitted dossier in Oct that were just matched.

We have 2 boys and a girl already.Any info. greatly appreciated. Is hard to find someone that has adopted recently through Holt and the Philippines. If you don't want to talk on here you can e-mail me personally at gmducat@yahoo.comThanksBlessings!Gina

I immediately sent that back and a couple of weeks later I received the formal app. I had the home study done by a local agency that works with Holt. I live in Kansas. What we did that I think cut down on some time was we went ahead and filed our I-600A forms and got our fingerprinting done even before our home study was completed. We already have our approval fromthe INS done. It took longer than expected to get our home study down since is started around the holidays. It took almost 2 months to complete. We just had our dossier sent to the Philippines on February 17, 2001. We are asking for a child of either sex around the age of 2 and we also said we were open to sibling groups of no more than 2. I am a filipino-american. My husband and I have 2 birth children. I hope I have given you some helpful information. Good Luck! jcw
