Tax Credit and CPS?

Do you get the tax credit if you adopt from CPS? There is very little cost in adopting through them if any but we would like to use the credit (if we get it) to build an addition to our house to make more room for everyone. Has anyone that has adopted from CPS gotten this credit?

The Adoption Tax Credit was originally only given to parents who adopted from the state, but has since changed to include all forms of adoption. If you do adopt from the state you do get the Tax Credit.
