Hi , how much do you know about your birth parents have you requested your non-id ? Do you know who handled your adoption ( what agency or was it private with an attorney )? Have you registered with FARR and ISRR? If not and you are not sure what these are just ask I will post the information here for you.
On another note if you happen to have been brought up in a family where your adopted parents also have biological children with the total number of children (now adults)in your family being around six children ( we have been told by a case work 4 sons 2 daughters born between 1968-1975 ish) ) please contact me. We Know my husbands birth mother adopted children years after relinquishing him in 1958. So we think and feel one of the children she adopted will one day search for their bio parents and this may be the way we find her... Good Luck to you.

CHS is probably the most tight lipped of all the agencies in Florida ( florida in general is a tough state for adoptees) I have heard of but you can contact them and they will for a fee ($400-$800) provide non-id to you and search and try to contact your birth parents. You would need to contact their adoption archive department. I believe their current head of searches is Maggie Benson, Maggie can be reached via email Maggie.Benson@chsfl.org. They are located in Jacksonville. I think you can also google CHS and find an applicatiion for release of non-id . Non id means information about your birth family that would not identify them , they will give you no names.
Also you may want to contact some of Florida Search angels and join the CHS digest ( for adoptees born and adopted in Florida via CHS0,.this is great support group. For more information on the Search Angels please email me privately , my email address can be found with my profile. If you do so please put something in the subject matter so I know it is safe to open.
Well I hope this helps you a bit. Let me know what else I can do to help you out, it does me good to try and help others since our search for my husband's family has so far proven fruitless.
Good luck
Shade :)
