Hi, I want to hear from those who have been there, what the best toys were to keep your kid busy on the plane and in the airport and such. Also put the age of your child at the time of the trip.
I will go first
When I adopted my daughter, she was 10 months old, she loved a baby photo album, she could chew on it and look at it and I had added photos we had taken of her with a poloroid. Also we loved this teething toy we got that had rings on two ends of a stick thing and a ring around the middle that moved. It also rattled. She loved that thing and the water filled teething ring (she was teething)
Our son was 8 months when we adopted him. We took all sorts of flashy, rattly toys for him. His favorite thing to play with? A spoon. His second favorite? Keys. And lastly, his third favorite? The top off his bottle. We didn't even bother packing the toys we'd taken to bring home--we just gave them to the orphanage!

We just arrived back from Haiti with our 26 month old son (it only took 16 months of paperwork to get him home  ). Anyway, we brought those colorful disposable cups for baby snacks filled with a few cheerios. Each time he finished the food, he played and stacked those cups nonstop. By the way, The TSA will not let you bring on gel or water-filled toys. It's considered a security risk.
