My friend is in search of her deceased father's birth mother. He was born in Dallas on August 13, 1956 and adopted through a private arrangment through a lawyer friend. What should we do next?
We know quite a bit of personal information about this woman. We know her maiden name, married name and we believe that we know what state she currently resides in, but what we don't know is what to do with all this information. We don't know if she wants to be found. We just want to tell her that she has 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and to thank her for giving her son a wonderful life with wonderful parents and a wonderful family. We don't want to disrupt her life or cause her any stress, so traditional routes like a PI seem wrong. So what do we do now?

Is she still in the Dallas area? My roots run pretty deep in Dallas. What is her name? What part of Dallas? I could see if the name is known.
My friend's adoptive grandmother passed away this week leaving behind all the adoption papers. They contained several new pieces of information. The name the mother was using in letters was not her real name, but the name used was FRANCES WHITE. We also learned that the baby was not born at Baylor like we thought, but actually was born BABY BOY MARKS at St Paul Hospital in Dallas.
