Can you be more specific?In general, flood check/flood control in regards to forums is the option of adding a limit to the number of posts a member can make at any given time.Flood check is the time limit involved (in this case, ever 60 seconds you can post ONE post/thread). 60 seconds is the "check"...you have to wait 60 seconds between posts (30 seconds between searches).The whole practice is called "Flood Control" - it keeps members from 'flooding' the forums with countless posts per minute (it is designed to curb spam).

Can't we use our points to buy flood control? If we can how much and how long does it last?

You can buy flood control for forum posting for 5000 points. You can buy flood control for forum searching for 6000 points.Neither expires.
