Hello !My husband and I are lds, frenchs in France and we would like to adopt 2 children of less than 4 years (at the same time). We would like that they come from anywhere in the world. Is that possible to do that with the Church or is this reserved for certain countries, but not France?I hope you can answer to me and I thank you for that,Futurmaman

I just looked at the list of LDS Family Services offices and they did have seven international offices but I did not see one in France, or anywhere else in Europe for that matter. There were offices in Austrailia, Canada, Japan, England, New Zealand and Mexico. I believe that with Russian adoptions you can adopt two children at the same. China only allows one. I wish you the best of luck!
Thank you Tamara. It is well what I thought. It is not right not to be helped because we are French. Sometimes there is the impression not to be members of the Church. We think of adopting in South America or Africa. We will go where thatcan go most quickly (but it will be long nevertheless). I wish you the best of luck, too!

I live in Ireland. We adopted our son from Russia in 2004. There is no LDS SS in Ireland and anyway there are very few domestic children to adopt here. There is LDS SS in the UK but they have given up their adoption agency licence due to the fact again that there are few children to be adopted domestically. I would check with the Area office, I think for you it's in Geneva and see if there is LDS SS in France and if they do adoptions. Otherwise you will have to go the route other french citizens go.
If it's anything like here it's a long and difficult process but worth it in the end. Good luck
