I wish there were some activity in this forum! I wonder did only one or two people request the thread? Well, I'm glad this thread is here, and hope to find some Buddhists/Eastern Philosophers (lol) here soon.

I have seen many programs offering grants and/or loans to "good Christian" families. I am part of a "good" Buddhist family. Web search reveals no hits for sort of resource above which we seek. To whom should I turn?

I don't have any advice for you other than to look for secular adoption agencies. The ones that are looking for "good Christian families" are generally Christian agencies, and they advertise this fact about themselves. Our homestudies were done by an agency (no placements) without a religious affiliation, and our international adoption attempt was through an agency that also didn't require any specific religious affiliation from the adoptive parents.
