What do y'all think?
Should we plan something? I'd sure like to get together!! How about in November? It is adoption month, might be nice!
Do any days work/not work? I'd like to NOT bring my 2 year old (nudges Tara) but I don't care if you all want to bring your kids.
thoughts??

Hi Ladies,I hope you don't mind another joining you. I'm still not 100%. My Mom has been living with us and she is moving to her new house either that or the next weekend, whenever the builder says its a go and my DH may have to work on the 18th. Will let you know as soon as I can.Oh, I don't think the Olive Garden takes reservations for groups less that 8 people. You just have to go and put your name down and wait. If there is room you can wait in the lounge. Saturdays are usally pretty busy too unless you do early or late dinner. But if you can get a table in the lounge you can order drinks and appies and stuff. (My favorite restraunt too)Michelle

Ok...December is too scary to guaruntee.
So maybe this will have to be in the New Year?
I KNOW we'll be going to Calgary before Christmas, I was only saying that weekend because it seemed to work for most of us.
Canadian, yes we can get together! However, how about I check in with you about when. Dh was not overly keen on that weekend to begin with (Ultimate Fight Night thingy is on) so, how about I let you know when works better for him, and you and I can get together for lunch or something?
HOLY CRAP!! NEW EMOTICONS!!!

So this is OT, but I thought it might be a good place to put the question because these are Calgary families looking here... Does anyone attend CAPS (Calgary Adoptive Parent Society) meetings? I think they might be just for families who have adopted through CFS, not sure. I am trying to decide if they would be useful for hubby and I. Not sure I can convince him to go anyways, but thought it was worth exploring. :coffee: Carrie
Canadian - I'm in Lethbridge, so it's about two hours. My brother lives in Calgary and my inlaws live just outside. I will DEFININTELY be going to Calgary before Christmas, so I will let you know as soon as I have a date.
On the journey- Of course you are welcome to come last minute, sometimes it's hard to know ahead of time!!
I dont know anything about the group you mentioned canadian, I belong to a group here in Leth. but it's not agency affiliated...we just do it on our own.
